Our beautiful museum is located at 521 Shackleford Road in Sheridan, Arkansas. Sheridan, the county seat of Grant County, is located approximately 30 miles south of Little Rock. The museum, established in 1965, is an agency of the county government. This local history museum, whose stated purpose is to interpret and preserve the history of Grant County, traces the county's economic and social development from prehistoric to present times.

Exhibits and Displays
Special gallery exhibits include the Arkansas-Louisiana Gas Company Room, an antique automobile display, the Richard Harrison Collection of Military Vehicles, and a tribute to our Korean, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and Iraqi Freedom veterans. We offer one of the best museums in the nation with more presentations than most local museums. Our World War II displays are some of the most comprehensive in the state. They include one of the nation's largest displays of military vehicles, compliments of Mr. Harrison.
